Hello Everyone! ! !

It just me, Mr. Jingeling.  Now usually I am telling you all about what I have been up to here at the North Pole.  But, I have been getting so many cards and letters asking about the “Wish Sisters”, I thought I would tell you the story of how they came to live with us.

It all started a number of years ago.  It was the day after Christmas. All of the elves had gathered by the big picture window and looked up at the North Star.  The snow was blowing and coming down.  The elves were wishing that all the children across the world had had a nice and wonderful Christmas with their families and friends.  The elves all crossed their fingers together and sent their hopes and wishes through the blizzard and on up to the North Star.

Well, everyone knows that there are no two snowflakes alike, but as the elves were crossing their fingers, two snowflakes, two very large snowflakes that looked exactly alike stopped in mid air.  Within moments the two snowflakes turned into small flying sprites (another name for pixies, fairies or elves).  Two little six (6) inch tall girls, both wearing white dresses, with blond hair.  Both of them also could fly, by the power of the wings they had on their backs. Wings that were shaped just like huge snowflakes.

The elves were shocked as the two flying girls floated through the window and into Santa’s workshop.

“Hello,” said the one little girl, “my name is Trycia and this is my sister Yessica.  We are the Wish Sisters.”

“What brings you here?” asked Santa, who had just entered the great hall from the other side.

“You did Santa, you and your elves,” answered Yessica. “When you sent all of your hopes and dreams for a happy Christmas out to the children of the world, your wishes summoned my sister and I.”

“What do you mean?” questioned Perhampson, on of Santa’s tallest elves.

Trycia began talking again.

“All of you work year round to make children happy, but we think someone needs to help make you fellows happy.  We are here to help with the toys, cheer you up on bad days and try and make some of your wishes come true.”

“That is a wonderful idea sisters!”, said Santa.  “We are always so worried about toy production for the children that we tend forget to have are own hopes and wishes.”

Another voice interrupts.

“Then let’s start the fun with a plate of cookies and plenty of hot chocolate.”  It was Mrs. Claus with two trays of refreshments.

Everyone began to enjoy themselves and got to know the “Wish Sisters” better.

That is how it all began with the “Wish Sisters”, Santa, the elves and everyone at the North Pole.  Well, I better be off and back to work, there is so much to plan for this upcoming Christmas season.  It may seem a long way off, but everything also seems to be moving so quickly.  It is already Spring and Summer is right around the corner. Remember Santa is watching all year, so listen to your parents and be safe.

Your friend,
Mr. Jingeling
