But just as the ship was rocking back and forth in the most violent way, a large seagull swooped down out of the sky and swiped at one of the many hundreds of flying fish. Quickly the gull looped around in the sky and pecked at the fish again, over and over many times until the flying fish all at once dove under the waves and did not come back up to bother anyone.
Then the big white bird circled the ship several times until it spotted one of the many smaller holes in the glass that the Commander put in the globe to allow the wind to come inside and fill up the sails with air. It flew in the entrance and landed on the railing near Mr. Jingeling.
“Hi everyone, I thought you could use a hand, or in this case a couple of wings.”
“A talking sea gull?” Commander Snowglobe and Mr. Jingeling both spoke the same words at almost the same time.
“That’s right,” began the bird. “My name’s Albert Ross, glad to meet you, thought you could use some help.”
